- Paint Protection Film
What does Paint Protection Film (PPF) do?
AKA clear bra or clear film is a thermoplastic urethane film applied to painted surfaces of a car in order to protect the paint from stone chips, bug splatters, and minor abrasions.
How long will clear bra last?
The average lifespan of Clear Bra is 7-10 years. It is a semi-permanent installation and can be removed and replaced at any time. We recommend replacement when film starts to show signs of weathering.
At Rhino, customer service and satisfaction is our top priority. We take pride in our work, whether detail, window tint or clear bra. When we install your choice of Xpel Ultimate or Suntek, we focus on a seamless install. That means we try our best to wrap the edges around so the edges are tucked in when possible for a near seamless install. What to Expect Immediately After Installation:
Immediately after installation there may be a small amount of setting solution under the film. This is normal and will dissipate in a short time (up to a week depending on climate conditions). Do not press on the area with the solution. The look is very similar to the temporary blemishes found with window film application, which looks like streaking or watery bubbles. This is part of the curing process and these visual annoyances will clear up. Minor variations in the material itself will also clear up after time and exposure to the elements. Some cosmetic imperfections, often referred as “disturbed adhesive” or “stretch marks” are unavoidable and can make themselves evident as a result of the installation technique necessary to apply the film.
